The nation’s capital was one of the many cities around the globe to participate in the Global Climate Strike that took place on Sept. 27, 2019. Hundreds flooded the streets of downtown Ottawa that day, demanding the government to take action against climate change. I didn’t take this photo for any publication. I attended the protest on my own terms, as I wanted to be present at this massive event.
